Movies: The DaVinci Code

Last night I watched the movie the DaVinci Code directed by Ron Howard and starring Tom Hanks. As you will see with this blog any movie with Tom Hanks is alright with me. This movie was based on a highly controversial book. It of course would become a highly controversial movie. I really liked the book for the journey that it took you on. The movie is an abridged version of the book. They could not include everything, but they did a good job of getting the majority of the chase for clues into the movie. I realize the uproar that this subject caused, but this is fiction. The clues in the movie are real, and that is what makes the story so compelling. The way that Dan Brown took normal everyday objects and wove them together to form this story. He did a great job, and I cannot wait until Angels and Demons comes out. The movie was supposed to be out this year, but was pushed back because of the writers strike. For now I will have to make due with the movie that has been made. If you can separate fact from fiction then this movie is for you. If you take everything that you see in movies as fact then you should not watch this movie.
